Jane is a technically excellent teacher. She has a holistic approach in that as she doesn’t just rush through exam syllables, but also fosters wider learning and knowledge of music, which has helped to cultivate my 2 children’s ongoing interest in the art even outside of the ‘piano practices’. We (mom and the 2 children) have found her teaching so beneficial that even when we temporarily relocated to a different continent/timezone a few years ago, we continued weekly lessons with her (albeit online) rather than sought other local teachers.

As well as being a highly proficient musician in many instruments, Jane is flexible, easy to communicate with and empathetic. When learning with her she focuses on not just the ‘what’ and the ‘how’ but also the ‘why’ which gives me as a student more confidence in the lesson and in my practice.
