Jane is the Founder and Director of Lau Music Academy, bringing more than a decade of experience in music education and one-to-one teaching.
A graduate of the Royal College of Music in Piano Performance, Jane also holds a Master's degree in Music Education from University College London (UCL). Alongside her private teaching career, she has worked extensively in school music education, including as Head of Music & Performing Arts.
Jane founded Lau Music Academy with the aim of creating a more personal and connected approach to music education - bringing together exceptional teachers while ensuring that every student continues to receive individual attention and guidance.
Today, Jane leads the Academy's educational direction, overseeing student progress, mentoring the teaching team and carefully matching students with teachers according to their personality, goals and musical development.
Sungeun is a highly accomplished violinist and dedicated teacher, and a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she studied as an Eta Cohen Violin Scholar. She is also an LRAM-qualified teacher, reflecting her specialist training in music education.
An experienced performer, Sungeun has appeared as both a soloist and orchestral musician in the UK and internationally, bringing a high level of technical and musical expertise to her teaching.
Her approach is warm, patient and encouraging, with a strong focus on developing secure technique, musical confidence and independence. She takes time to understand each student's individual learning style and builds positive, trusting relationships that allow students to progress at their own pace.
Sungeun works with students across a range of levels, from those building their foundations through to more advanced players and students preparing for graded examinations.
Kendra is an accomplished violinist and highly experienced educator who studied at the prestigious Eastman School of Music before completing her Master's degree in Violin Performance at the University of Southern California (USC).
Kendra has maintained a successful violin studio teaching students of all ages and levels. Her students have earned concertmaster positions in youth orchestras across the United States and received recognition in prestigious competitions, including the American Protégé International Competition.
Alongside her teaching, Kendra is an active performer and studio musician. She has performed with the Pacific Symphony and at the Lakes Area Music Festival, and has recorded for artists including Lady Gaga and The Rose. She has also served as a teaching assistant at the Interlochen Center for the Arts and was awarded the Grauman Fellowship through the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts for her work in educational outreach.
Kendra brings this breadth of teaching and professional experience into a thoughtful and highly individual approach to violin education, helping students develop strong technique, musical confidence and independence while supporting their long-term development as musicians.
Amy is a Guildhall-trained pianist and dedicated teacher, holding a Bachelor of Music from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. She works with students across a range of ages and abilities, from complete beginners through to more advanced players.
Alongside her teaching, Amy is an active professional musician who has performed at major venues and events including the Royal Albert Hall and Glastonbury Festival, as well as working with a range of contemporary artists.
Drawing on both her classical training and professional performance experience, Amy brings an engaging and versatile approach to her lessons. She focuses on developing strong musical foundations, confidence and individuality, while encouraging students to explore and genuinely enjoy the music they play.
Anna is a dedicated singer and pianist currently studying Vocal Studies at the Royal Academy of Music (RAM), one of the world's leading conservatoires. Alongside her specialist vocal training, she has studied piano throughout her musical development, giving her a broad foundation in musicianship.
Anna teaches both singing and piano to students across a range of ages and abilities. Her meticulous and encouraging approach focuses on developing strong musical foundations, confidence and musicianship while responding to each student's individual needs and goals.
Her lessons are engaging and thoughtfully structured, creating a positive environment in which students can develop their skills, explore their musicality and build a genuine enjoyment of music.
Casie is a classically trained pianist with over 15 years of playing experience. She holds ABRSM Grade 8 Piano and A-Level Music, specialising in piano performance, and is currently working towards her ARSM performance diploma alongside her university studies.
With over three years of one-to-one teaching experience, Casie works with children, teenagers and adults from beginner to intermediate levels. Her attentive and encouraging approach allows her to adapt lessons to each student's individual learning style, while developing secure technical and musical foundations at the piano.
Casie places particular importance on making lessons engaging and enjoyable, helping students build confidence and independence while developing a genuine and lasting connection to music.
Laura is an Egyptian soprano, vocal coach and graduate of the Royal College of Music, where she completed a Master's degree in Music Performance under the tutelage of renowned soprano Sarah Tynan. She is the second recipient of the prestigious Andrea Bocelli Foundation - Community Jameel Scholarship.
Alongside her professional performance career, Laura has extensive experience in music education, working with students from Pre-K through Year 9 across schools in the UK, US and Egypt. She teaches singing and beginner piano, with experience spanning private voice tuition, vocal coaching, supporting students with special educational needs, and preparing young musicians for recitals and performances.
As a professional soprano, Laura has performed extensively in the UK and internationally. Her operatic credits include roles in Carmen, L'Egisto, The Barber of Seville, The Elixir of Love, Eugene Onegin and Jane Eyre. She has also performed at the Pyramids of Giza and alongside Maestro Andrea Bocelli in Pompeii, Italy, and Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia.
Laura brings her professional vocal training and performance experience into a thoughtful and technically informed approach to teaching. She places particular emphasis on developing healthy vocal technique, musical confidence and expressive performance, while tailoring her guidance to each student's age, interests and individual development.
Jack is a pianist, singer and music educator, and a graduate of the University of Leeds, where he earned a BA (Hons) in Music. An experienced piano, drum and vocal teacher as well as an accomplished accompanist, he has a strong background in musical theatre, sight-reading and improvisation.
Jack works with students across a range of ages and abilities, from complete beginners to more advanced musicians. His patient and supportive approach allows him to tailor lessons to each individual, developing strong musical foundations while building confidence and independence.
Whether preparing for graded examinations, exploring favourite repertoire or developing skills in improvisation and contemporary playing, Jack encourages students to become versatile and confident musicians while maintaining a genuine enjoyment of music.
Alongside his teaching, Jack continues to develop his professional career as a pianist and Musical Director, with aspirations to work in London's West End.
