Founder & Director
Jane founded Lau Music Academy with a simple belief: every student deserves inspiring, high-quality music education tailored to their individual goals.
A graduate of the Royal College of Music, with a Master’s in Music Education from UCL, Jane brings over a decade of experience in music education. She has taught in leading independent schools, including serving as Head of Music & Performing Arts, and has helped students of all ages achieve excellent ABRSM and Trinity results, prepare confidently for performances, and develop a lifelong love of music.
Drawing on her experience as both an educator and school leader, Jane personally selects and supports the Academy’s teaching team, ensuring every student benefits from the same high standards of technical excellence, encouragement, creativity and enjoyment that have shaped her teaching throughout her career.
